SÄDEMEKE

While I was at school and lived in Riga, my hobbies were sports and theater, the last year at school I was engaged in Erasmus + projects, took part in them, was the leader of the group, helped organize events, so I learned about non-formal education and learned how to apply it in my work.

I came to the kindergarten «Sädemeke» for 9 months starting from October 2017. The kindergarten administration wanted me to learn English with the childrens, and also asked about my hobbies and what else could I do with the childrens. So I started to teach English for groups of 5-6 and 6-7 years, as well as sports for the group of 6-7 years. My free time I also spend in the kindergarten with different groups, we play together, draw, I attend them at the lessons, we go together on excursions and go out for walks.

I really enjoy working with childrens, teaching them stuff through games, so I study with them, we let each other make mistakes and together we learn from them. The collective in the kindergarten is very kind and pleasant, everyone is smiling and ready to help in any matter, will give wise advice and help with the lesson.

Thanks to volunteering, I learned a lot and understood what I want to do in the future.
