SÄDEMEKE

Hello! My name is Irune. I am from the capital of Spain, Madrid.

 

I have been working as a volunteer at Sädemeke kindergarten for the last 7 months and I want to tell you a little about this period of my life. 

Of course, my responsibilities in the kindergarten were my first priority.

 

During this time, I taught English to children and Spanish to the kindergarten workers. In addition, I took part in various events, for example, we went on a hike to the coast of the Gulf of Finland, and later I even helped to represent our kindergarten at the European Language Day. I also participated in the decoration of the premises and tried, on an equal basis with everyone, to create an atmosphere of comfort in the kindergarten.

 

In our free time, my children and I used to play outdoors or make funny origami figures out of paper.

 

And now, looking back, I understand that I will never be able to forget the warmth and sincerity that surrounded me from the first days. And most of all, I will miss the children, their carefree smiles and cheerful laughter.

 

It's a shame that I can't stay here longer, but I'll still miss everything and everyone I've met here.
